Online Booking Rules for Two South Courts (Courts 1 and 2)(As of December 7th, 2023)

1. Court bookings are available 7 days in advance of the court time

2. At this time courts can only be booked by members for play with members. Members playing with
guests can only use the two drop-in north courts.

3. Court online booking times are 60 minutes for the South Courts.
5:30 pm – 10:30 pm Monday to Friday (on the half hour)
9:00 am to 10:30 pm Saturday (on the hour)
9:00 am to 6:00 pm Sunday (on the hour)

4. Courts can be booked up to one minute before the start time. After the time has started the court
can no longer be booked and becomes on a first-come basis, for that time slot.

5. No phone reservations. All bookings must be done online.

6. Have your cell phone ready with your email confirmation as proof of reservation in case it is needed to be
shown to anyone.

7. If a supervisor is not present for any reason, members must respect other members’ reservations and
allow the members with a reservation to go onto their respective court at their respective time.

8. When booking you must specify your playing partner(s).

9. No back-to-back court bookings are allowed using the same name or partners’ names who are playing
each other

10. A maximum of 2 court bookings per member are allowed per week, with a maximum of 1 per day.

11. An empty court that is not booked can always be played on, first come first serve on the court.

12. Members should show up 10 minutes before their court booking and let the supervisor know that
they have a court booking.

13. At 5 minutes before your court booking starts either the court supervisor or member should go to the outside of the court outside the fence and in
between points inform the players there that you are on in 5 minutes with the next reservation window,
and that they will be coming off. You should go onto the court, at the time your reservation starts.
(let members finish just their last 1 point if the ball is in play the minute your reservation starts) Do not go
on to the court sooner than your time reservation. The only exception you can go on the court early if
the court is empty. Players whose reservations have ended should leave the court in a timely and friendly
manner. If the court is not reserved after players court booking time is up and no one else comes to the
court then the players currently playing can continue to play until the next booked person comes in.

14. The members appearing on the tennis court to play must be the same as the names in the booking
system, if not the court will not be given.

15. Members can only book court time for themselves, they cannot book for someone else that is not
playing tennis with them.

16. If a member is included in someone else’s court booking then that will count toward their maximum
court bookings per week.

17. Members who fail to show up on time for their court booking will forfeit their booking after a 10-
minute grace period. The court may be assigned away to someone else new to play on. If it has not
been given away, then you can go play once you arrive. But after 10 minutes of being late you may or
may not lose your court depending on how busy the club is. If someone shows up after the 10-minute
grace period, and their court is being used by someone already playing with the earlier reservation slot,
then the late person gets to take the court for the remaining of the reservation. But if the court has
been assigned to  new players after the 10-minute grace period. The new people keep the court.

18. Court time is limited. Members should cancel bookings they will be unable to use  as early as
possible. Canceling at least 4 hours prior to the booking is the minimum. Canceling with less than 4
hours before the booking or not showing up may cause the player to be subject to the warning/penalty
system as noted below.
Penalties for no shows and not canceling with more than four hours before the court time
1st time: First Warning
 2nd time: Last Warning
3rd time: Lose online booking privileges for 2 weeks
4th time: Lose online booking privileges for 5 additional weeks
5th time: Lose booking privileges for the remainder of the tennis season

19. If severe rainy weather comes up, a member is still responsible to cancel his court time online but
may be given grace in terms of penalty for canceling late.

20. For singles and doubles league, the rule is if you get removed from the court due to a future
reservation and your league match is unfinished then you should finish your match on the north courts if available.   Online Reservations take precedence over any league match which is unfinished.
